Presentation Girls’ School Maynooth has a very active Parents’ Assoc.

We are involved in various aspects of school life, such as facilitating events of educational and social value for pupils and parents and fundraising for fun activities that complement the academic activities the girls are undertaking.

 

Some of the activities we are involved in include:

·         We provide refreshments at various occasions during the school year, such as at the BOM Sponsored Walk

·         We organise the Coffee Mornings for the Junior Infants parents.

·         We organise the school calendar and Christmas annual.

·         We treat the girls to a cool ice cream on Sports Day, which they love.

·         We run several very popular and successful events such as the Halloween Disco and the Jingle Belles Panto day.

·         We have a volunteer system to run the school library and knitting classes.

 

We provide finance to improve facilities within our school. From the monies we have raised in the past number of years we have been able to:

·         Contribute towards a new school sound system for the main hall

·         Purchase new updated books for the school library

·         Providing music classes, creative dance classes, soccer skill classes

·         Funding additional school supplies for example extra reading material and board games for rainy days

 

All parents of children in the school are entitled to join the Parents’ Assoc. We usually meet in the school at 8.00pm on the second Monday of the month. Feel free to come along to our meetings.
